looking at video's of the city... (a few of my favourite finds)

This first video was shot in new york and i liked the way in which the movement and hustle and bustle has been captured..



the second video i have included, although not all scenes are typically city like, it is all about illuminations, some of which are in the city. The main reason i chose to include this is because the begining of the video is of reflections of lights in water and it really reminds me of the photographs by Naoya Hatakeyama who's series is featured in Susan Brights - Art Photography Now book.



I liked this video, which is a collection of american subway scenes from films in the 70's - i always think of transport and movement when i think of the city, so when researching stumbling upon this seemed ironic to me.



Finally - a video filmed in manchester, not the greatest quality but interesting to watch all the same, it was filmed by a canadian band whilst they were on tour in the uk and has been used as their music video for a song called sunriser.
